What mattress thickness should I use?
Safety is critical when selecting mattress thickness:
- Top Bunk: Maximum 6-8 inches thick. This ensures the guardrail extends at least 5 inches above the mattress surface.
- Bottom Bunk: 8-12 inches thick is acceptable.
- Platform Beds: Any thickness works, though 8-12 inches is most common.
- Loft Beds: 6-8 inches recommended.
Do I need a box spring with my bed?
No. All our beds include slats or platform bases , no box spring required.
- Bunk & Loft Beds: Box springs are NOT recommended because they reduce headroom and increase fall risk.
- Platform Beds: Designed to eliminate box springs.
Do your beds come with mattresses?
Mattresses are sold separately unless stated otherwise on the product page.
