- Bottom Bunk: 8-12 inches thick is acceptable.
- Platform Beds: Any thickness works, though 8-12 inches is most common.
- Loft Beds: 6-8 inches recommended.
Do I need a box spring with my bed?
No. All our beds include slats or platform bases — no box spring required.
- Bunk & Loft Beds: Box springs are NOT recommended because they reduce headroom and increase fall risk.
